Lisa Kinnell and Jennifer Davidson – Volunteer Spotlight
Our next volunteer spotlight – Lisa Kinnell and Jennifer Davidson. Together they have been working hard to create and foster an amazing sense of community within the WHC association. Their nominator had high praise for their efforts and even shared extra touches that really stood out:
Two particular things about them though that have really stood out to me through the season. We had a U21 team come to one of our practices to mentor our U11 kids, which was such a wonderful experience that Lisa helped put together. Shortly after, that U21 team made the semi finals (and then finals!!) in EMHW . Lisa sent out a message to the team suggesting that at least some of the players go cheer these guys on – she got all the info into Team Snap so everyone knew all the details, had the kids wear their Wolverines jerseys and bring noise makers to really help cheer the older boys on. The kids who showed up had an absolute blast, and it sounds like the older kids were happy to have the extra cheering section!
The other thing is, unfortunately one of our team members lost their little sister the other day, and Lisa with the help of Jennifer jumped on it to let the team know (with permission from the family) and get something set up for us all to support the family during this devastating time. It really shows how much these ladies care about the team and bring us together as one big family unit. It’s been a remarkable year in that aspect as a parent. They deserve all the shootouts we can give them for a fantastic job!!
Thank you so much Lisa and Jennifer – we appreciate everything you do!
