We need coaches!
Hello Wolverines!
My name is Blake Ransom and I’ve recently taken on the role of Director of Coaching with Wolverines. My three boys have been playing in the association for 9 years and I’ve had the pleasure of coaching them along the way. Through being a head or assistant coach on 16 Wolverines teams… I’ve been inspired by the great coaches I’ve worked with and it’s led me to take on this position. My goal is to positively reshape our coaching culture by offering support to our coaches (in a variety of ways), recognize the hard work they put in, and provide them tools to coach their team(s) to the best of their abilities.
In the coming weeks you’ll hear more about new things the board is offering our coaches, initiatives we’re working on and our refined focus on development for our players as well as our esteemed coaching staff. It’s going to be an exciting year!

As we head toward evaluations, I’d like to put out a LAST CALL to any/all parents who are interested in coaching to please sign up! If you’ve planned on coaching, but have not registered – please do, today! If you’re waiting to find out what team your son/daughter is on – don’t wait! Register early so we can get you onboarded, certified and begin communicating with you sooner. Adding coaches once teams have been selected can also be challenging, so please secure a spot ASAP.
We do NOT evaluate and/or place players on teams based on coaching availability.
This is also a special call to any of our parents who have played or coached high-level or elite hockey… we want you! We will provide you with any resources and training you require, and are here to support you. We need your skill on the ice & benches! If you are not wanting the responsibility of a Head Coach role, please consider an assistant or goalie coach position.
