Happy New Year Wolverines families,

It’s that time of year again; Esso Minor Hockey Week starts on Saturday! I hope you all get out and cheer loud and proud for the Wolverines!

Some friendly reminders for our spectators, players, volunteers in the box and coaches.
Spectators: You are your teams’ biggest cheerleader! Your player loves to hear you cheer for them from the stands. BUT your player and the opposing team may not love to hear negative cheering towards refs, the opposing players, or our own players. Let’s please choose positive cheering and no negative cheering.
Players: You are the star of the show. We all love to watch you play and support these big moments. Remember to be role models on and off the ice. Respect the opposing players, refs and your coaches!
Volunteers in the box: This is a very important role during all our games. Friendly reminder when in the box this is a NEUTRAL position.
Coaches: You are the director to the stars of the show. All of you on the bench are the example to your players, and to the spectators. You set the tone for the team! Respect the refs, opposing coaches, opposing players and keep all interactions respectful and positive.

I have no doubt that this week will be a fun and positive experience for our teams. I look forward to watching some amazing hockey this week!
