February 2025 – Coach of the Month

Jimmy serves as the head coach of the U13 3 Gold team and has been a dedicated member of our association for years. If you’ve spent time around the rink, you’ve likely seen Jimmy doing what he does best—bringing a smile, positivity, enthusiasm, and an unwavering commitment to his athletes. His contagious optimism and passion for teaching not only the fundamentals of hockey but also the essential values of teamwork and perseverance truly set him apart.

However, in true team spirit, Jimmy’s first words upon learning he had won Coach of the Month were, “I’d like to share this award with my co-head coach, Ryan Wandler. This is as much his award as it is mine!” Please join us in also recognizing Ryan, another invaluable member of the Wolverines association who has played a key role in the success of this team.

Jimmy’s nomination highlights his ability to strike the perfect balance between making hockey fun and pushing his players to excel. He sets clear expectations, follows through on his promises, and tailors his approach to each athlete’s needs. His dedication to player development and leadership within the Wolverines organization make him an outstanding coach and mentor.
