It is with great pleasure that I introduce our Coach of the Month for January – Peter Rallios! Yes – we’re getting caught up!
Peter serves as the esteemed head coach of the Esso Minor Hockey Week Champion U11-4 Blue team—a remarkable achievement we will celebrate later. However, his selection as Coach of the Month extends far beyond this victory.
From day one, Peter has demonstrated unwavering commitment as Head Coach—not only to his players but also to their parents, assistant coaches, and the entire association. His dedication is evident in his active engagement within the Wolverines coaching group, his enthusiasm for continuous development, and his efforts to foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
Despite being a “rookie” head coach, Peter has shown exceptional leadership by:
  • Establishing a clear season plan and following it with well-planned practices.
  • Hosting one-on-one meetings with parents to review progress
  • Collaborating closely with assistant coaches to cultivate a supportive and welcoming atmosphere
At the start of the season, Peter assured his team that while there would be ups and downs, if everyone played their part, they could achieve something great. True to his word, in January, the U11-4 Blue team overcame a three-goal deficit to claim victory in Esso Minor Hockey Week—in dramatic fashion!
Please find Peter’s full nomination below, and join me in congratulating him on this well-deserved recognition as Coach of the Month for January 2025! Bravo, Peter!
