Age groups:

• U7: 2020 & 2019 birth years
• U9: 2018 & 2017 birth years
• U11: 2016 & 2015 birth years
• U13: 2014 & 2013 birth years
• U15: 2012 & 2011 birth years
• U18: 2010, 2009 & 2008 birth years

Team Formation:

• U7 – Cross Ice 4 on 4 plus a goalie (players take turns playing goalie).
• U9 – Half Ice 4 on 4 plus a goalie.
• U11-U18 Age Group – Full Ice 4 on 4 plus a goalie.
• Registrants can request to play with UP TO 4 friends. Must be reciprocal. Accommodated if possible

Rules:

• A 5-minute warm-up followed by two 25-minute periods.
• No Faceoffs, except to start period
• Goals or Frozen pucks - offensive team must clear blueline
• U7 & U9 - 90 second shifts
• U11 – U18 – change on the fly
• No Body checking in any division

Penalties:

• All minor penalties will be called. The player who the infraction occurred on, will be rewarded the penalty shot. Substitutes are not permitted for penalty shots. The player taking the penalty shot will start on the center dot. The official will blow his or hers whistle and the player will proceed. The other players will line up along the defensive blue line and chase the shooter. Rebounds on the penalty shot are live.
• 3 penalties results in game ejection

Other Rules:

• Full equipment is required for every ice time
• U7 & U9 teams will be provided 1 coach per team who will act as referees on the ice
• U11 – U18 teams will have 1 coach on the ice who will act as a referee on the ice
• Score keepers will be provided for U11 – U18 games
• Each team will be assigned 1 team manager
• Approved substitutes may be used if a team is short players
• Schedule subject to change based on registration numbers

WHC Cup Tournament format:

• U7 & U9 – round robin
• U11 to U18 – Single knockout
