Rob Sikina – Coach of the year!
Wolverines Hockey Club is proud to name Rob Sikina as our 2023/2024 Coach of the Year!
Rob has been a coach with the Wolverines since 2018 and is currently the coach of the U18 NBC 3 team. There was a common theme in all the nominations we received for Rob – he puts the players first, and the game second. Rob focuses on developing each player as a person, as well as a hockey player. He encourages them to give back to the community and teaches values such as teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship.
Rob was given a unique challenge this season … a hockey team with no goalie. Rob’s skills in communication, organization and tactical planning ensured that this challenge didn’t hinder the team’s success throughout the season. Thank you, Rob, for rising to the challenge and making a great season for your team!!
